| O Winnicy | "The history of Quinta da Lixa began in 1986 when the families Meiredes and Meiredes da Cunha founded the wine producer's resident in Lixa (Felgueiras). In 1994 the team around winemaker Carlos Teixeira started with the own marketing. Today 42 ha of vineyards belong to the possession which are distributed on a total of six different positions in the Vinho Verde. Nowadays Quinta da Leixa concentrates on the production and marketing of classical Vinho Verde wines. They set on the traditional Blend widespread in the region, from Trajadura, Pedernã (= synonym for Arinto), Azal and Loureiro." |
