Beautifully deep in colour with a persistent fine bead. The nose is an enticing mélange of chocolate, dark cherry, hints of spice, a touch of vanilla. A beautifully integrated and fully harmonious wine offering an explosion of flavour balanced by the complexity resulting from its time in the bottle.
The second of 3 consecutive great vintages for reds, highly rated by the winemakers and producing wines of great depth, flavour and richness.
Selected from a small number of premium Barossa Shiraz vineyards, including, to their delight, a parcel of fruit from Peter and Margaret Lehmanns Stonewell Hill vineyard.
Fermented on skins for 7 10 days, pressed, clarified and then matured for 12 months in older French oak hogsheads. The base wine was then bottle-fermented and aged on its yeast lees for 2 years.

| Polecamy do | The perfect celebration wine. A great party starter and wonderful for a lazy Sunday brunch. Try with egg and bacon pie! Delicious with roast turkey, baked honey-glazed ham and quail. |

| O Winnicy | "In the face of a serious overproduction of grapes and the real possibility of growers facing financial ruin, Peter Lehmann found some investment partners, established a consortium and built the Peter Lehmann Wines winery. That was back in 1979.The first vintage was processed in 1980 and in 1982 the winery was formally named Peter Lehmann Wines. From then on, its wines have been marketed under the Peter Lehmann Wines label. As an experienced winemaker, Peter Lehmann was all too aware of the challenges facing a young winery in a competitive market. Growth was well planned, slow and steady. Initially, the winery facility was built to process fruit purchased from local growers. Carefully and strategically, the Peter Lehmann Wines operation moved on from the bulk wine market to become a producer of premium bottled wines with a well-deserved international reputation. As well as purchasing grapes from around 185 local independent growers, Peter Lehmann Wines has its own vineyards, which produce about 2% of its requirements." |
